IE pop-ups?

I use mozzila firefox but I keep gettin Internet Explorer popups (they're just blank web age popups) like every 10-15 seconds!! Does anybody know why and how I could stop this?

try a scan using spybot or adaware

Go to control panel, security center, click on automatic updates, click turn off automatic updates.
