IE 7, Browser keep crashing?

I have recently upgraded my browser from IE6 to IE7 with all the latest patches. After this upgrades my browser keeps crashing, I checked the add-ins and disabled everything. But still the problem persists. Any idea….

Sounds like a "glitch" of some sort that may have happened during install of IE7.

I recommend that you uninstall IE7 using the Add/Remove utility at Start %26gt; Settings %26gt; Control Panel %26gt; Add/Remove

Once it is uninstalled, REBOOT your PC. This will get everything out of memory on your PC.

Go to the Microsoft web page and download and install it again.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/product...

Allow any/all updates to be included!!! There were functionality fixes and security updates that are important and you should include all of them.

If you still have "crashes" after doing this, then there is something else going on in your PC. Run any and all adware, spyware, and antivirus programs you have just to see if this will help.

A "repair" installation of XP may take care of the problem also. Here's how to do it.

REPAIRING OR REINSTALLING WINDOWS XP

Turn your PC on and insert the Windows XP disk into the CD/DVD drive.

Reboot/restart the PC. This will cause the PC to boot from the XP disk and not the hard drive..

Allow the PC to run the boot up sequence. It will stop at a “black and white” screen and there will be an option to select a “repair” installation or a “full” installation.

NOTE:

If you simply want to repair/fix any and all corrupted and/or problem XP files select the “repair” option. This will only rewrite the XP files and will not affect any of your personal files or software on your PC.

If you want to Format the hard drive and rebuild the hard drive completely select the “full” installation option. Be aware that with this option you will “erase” all the files and software on that hard drive.

Select either the “repair” or “full” installation option and simply let the software run. Follow any onscreen prompts that may appear, especially during the “full” installation.

Hope this helps.

Reinstall it.
Go to add/remove programs and uninstall IE7. Windows will put your IE6 back on for you. IE7 has a lot of bugs. don't use it.
ugh! IE stinks (my opinion)

Use Firefox, you'll never go back.
try reinstalling.

or better yet...

switch to firefox. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
i have experienced the very same problem and didn't wait long. I kept it but installed Mozilla Firefox, too. it is much better. Do not uninstall IE7. Just download mozilla firefox from www.mozila.com for free and make it your default browser ;)
So, you've removed your add-ONS such as toolbars and what not and still IE7 crashes? Have you done the thing to let it send the info to Microsoft and then follow the link to what to do to fix it? Usually it tells you what to do. I don't have the exact input you need, but I would recommend you go back to IE6 OR bypass it for the most part and use Mozilla's Firefox... which is more stable and uses less resources on your system. I've tinkered with Opera some, but not enough to advise it heartily... though it's seems nice. Try taking off (not just disable) the add-ons to see if it'll work better alright? Sometimes even when they're not onto your toolbar they can still affect you. Good luck and have a good one.
