IE vs. Mozilla System Restore???

OK I use Mozilla my computer has the XP update. Sometimes I want the browser %26amp; it's not there. Then I have to do a system restore to find my home page. How can this be alleviated? I'm not a computer whiz - that's for sure! Thanks!

In Mozilla Firefox's location/address bar type: about:config

A list of configuration settings should appear.

In the Filter line type: browser.startup.page

Make sure its value is set to 1.

If that's ok, see if any info helps here:

If that still doesn't help, you can reinstall Firefox by first uninstaling it (under "Add/Remove Programs" in Windows' Control Panel) and then reinstalling from scratch.

As a last resort, you can COMPLETELY uninstall Firefox by:

1) Backuping your "bookmarks.html" file

(http://kb.mozillazine.org/Lost_bookmarks... - and Importing it back in when your done reinstalling

2) Uninstalling under "Add/Remove Programs"

3) Deleting your profile (which the normal uninstaller doesn't remove - be careful - you could lose email and other settings!)

Time to change!

Happy surfing!
By Mozilla, do you mean Firefox ?

If not, I recommend you get that.

Don't believe the other guy when he says you need Opera, Firefox is definitly the best browser now available (with version two coming right up)
