Ie explorer version 6 freezes up. operating system is win xp home. what shall i do?windows server 2003

You can download the program Window XP free now program in discuxx

.com to fix this

Ie explorer version 6 freezes up. operating system is win xp home. what shall i do?windows xp service internet explorer

reinstall it, download the installer from a website and then just install it. or you can always upgrade to internet explorer 7
This was happening to me. I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and uninstalled Explorer. I haven't had any problems with the Firefox, I highly recommend it!
It could be that your processor is too slow for Win XP, or there isn't much memory which causes the explorer to freeze up. You might want to consider upgrading to ver 7?
Run your windows updates and download IE 7. You can also try removing all of your temp files and cookies by opening up IE and clicking tools, internet options and deleting them from there.
They all missed it!

1. Get AVG7.5(free) or run your subscription Anti-Virus program full system scan.

2. Get Microsft Windows Defender(free) and run a Full systems scan(anti-spyware).

3. If that doesn't fix you, see if you have your XP CD handy? If not you can get a fresh copy of IE 6 from the Microsft Download Center(same place you got Windows Defender)

4. You have the CD- put it in and select exit on the Pop up Window for that CD

5. start/run put in sfc /scannow and then hit OK

This will repair your IE

personally I would bet spyware- how to check...

start/run put in cmd then click OK

type in netstat in the DOS Screen and hit enter

write down how many active connections you have

open IE and the do the netstat again- note how many more connections you have--If more than one probably spyware then get to scanning to get rid of it

the world is viscious and spyware is everywhere and your prob looks typical
