IE cannot open the internet site http://my.yahoo.com

This occurs occasionally and not every time I attempt to log on or click on the home icon at the top of the screen.

This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware, parasite).

Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both.

If You perform this Operation on SAFE MODE, you will recieve greater Results. whereas spyware files are not launched while the system is on safe mode, so antispyware software detects and deletes them faster and safely

try to update your IE. Here works hell. Look at

It can happen when Server is busy or when ur modem gets disconnected. Nothing to worry about. Refresh or try later.

It's better to type URL address once again.
Tons of people, including myself, are having this issue. Are you running Google Toolbar with popup blocker? I believe that Yahoo has added a new type of advertising to its My.Yahoo homepages which includes script which prevents IE from opening without the ad being displayed. Yahoo is certainly aware of this problem (just look at the number of posts here and elsewhere), but they may be unwilling to give up on their advertising campaign. We can only hope that they relent before we all have to change our homepages.
