IE& opens in a small window. How can I get it to open in a "Maximized" format?

I am running IE7 with XP Pro. When I open any window for the first time that session, it always opens in a small window rather than in a "maximize" size. It used to always open in "maximize". If I link from the opened page to another page, the linked page opens OK. Any suggestions?

I think IE remembers that last size of the window when you close it down. So you need to drag the window to a bigger size then click file exit. The next time you open it up it should stay that size

When you open the IE click on the tray icon and re-size the window, then when you close down the window it will remain in memory that is the size you want.
