Keep getting pop-up notification window - "Can not open website, operation aborted" - Have to refresh window, and it may or may not work. Very annoying. Any fixes out there? (Using windows xp sp-2)

I'm also using IE7 on SP2.
I suggest you trying going to this site, and download IE7 Pro. And no, this isn't one of those spam links or anything. All power users like me use it.
IE7 Pro makes IE7 better, with some more handy tools, not available by default in IE7. Think of it like IE7 Plus.
It's free, and I've had zero problems with IE7 with this: http://www.ie7pro.com/
Also, don't listen to anyone who says that FireFox is any better. To me, their both awesome. FireFox works great if you older supported version of Windows. Like XP SP1, 2000, or 98. IE7 isn't available on those, so FireFox is the next best thing.
IE7 includes more protection, and many tech sites have claimed that IE7 is more secure than FireFox. It's just that the fanboys need a reason for pushing anything against Microsoft on you. That's why I would recommend you use it, if you have SP2 or Vista. But if you don't, then you might as well get FireFox.
Here's some concerns about Firefox: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/SupportCD/...

Try deleting history by going to these : tools, internet options browser history , then click settings and adjust the newer version of stored pages every time I visit a site....
This is done so if the webpage ever messes up while loading, all you have to do is reload and it will gain the website again... if you don't change the setting, it will try to load from the computer memory for faster access but can cause the issue described sometimes.
Switch over to firefox. Word on the street is that it is safer than IE.
