Generally, I would say NO. You want to review the websites and applications on your computer to lean if they are IE7 compatible.
You see, older versions of QuickBooks isn't.
You can TRY, then revert back to IE6 if you want. Take a look at my hints on removing IE7

Good luck and Happy Computing!
IE 7 has downloaded to my computer and is asking for permission to install itself. Should I let it? I have XPswindows server 2003
Yes.
IE 7 has downloaded to my computer and is asking for permission to install itself. Should I let it? I have XPswindows xp service internet explorer
I think you should, if you're sure it's safe, but if you're not sure, then don't.
You could try downloading IE7 manually on Microsoft's site, just so you could be very very sure it's clean of viruses/spyware :D
Yes you should, if you want IE 7
it probably came from a windows update thing.
I suggest using firefox or something though. ie7 isn't very good, in terms of usability and functions
well ... thats up to you really but from my experinces with computers "alot" i have some puters that have both vista and windows xp on the others however one the machines with xp i have had nothing but glitches going on since IE7 so i just deleted and went back to IE6 however on the machines i have vista on IE7 has been working great.... so you can try it and if it doesnt work out you can just go to add and remove programs and delete back to the IE6
If I were I wouldnt i would either stay with ie6 or just flat out switch to Mozilla Firefox. I use that and I'm a big fan of it. I work in IT and i have heard no good things about it and even had to uninstall it a few times cause it crashed some peoples PC's and they couldnt get online in some cases. Hope this helps but sorry im not a fan of ie Firefox is much more secure in my opinion.
It updates your computer from IE6, I did not get IE7 automatically, I went to Microsoft Downloads and installed. When you open to install make sure its from Microsoft.
yes i have IE7 and love it the new tabs are great ! i had to call Microsoft to install IE7 but its all good now
no, go to microsoft.com and in the search engine type in "internet explorer" you'll be able to get a newer version than 7
